A summer visit to Creative Tile in Allentown went from looking for tile for a bathroom to purchasing kitchen cabinets, a backsplash, vanities and more.

When this Center Valley family learned that Creative Tile offers cabinets, they took advantage of a chance to upgrade their initial builder-grade selections for their kitchen. Quality was very important to these homeowners as they put the finishing touches on their “forever” home.

In the kitchen, the homeowners were looking for a more traditional look with warmer tones. Creative Tile designer Brandon Pinero helped them narrow in on Wellborn Cabinet’s Monterey door with a coffee finish. The maple premier cabinets come standard with soft-close hinges and solid hardwood dovetail drawers that fully extend. They also carry a 10-year warranty.

Designer Brandon visited the new home while it was still under construction to help the homeowners plan the perfect layout for their kitchen. He then created renderings for the couple and the builder so everyone could collaborate to make sure they were getting the kitchen of their dreams.

The focus on quality extended to the backsplash, where designer Brandon helped them select a durable Italian 3×6 porcelain with a travertine look. The Unicom Renaissance Silver tiles were installed in an offset pattern, with a framed out area under the hood in a herringbone pattern. A metal Schluter strip outlined that accent area to give it a clean, framed look.

In the master bathroom, the homeowners fell in love with an onyx Wellborn vanity on display in Creative Tile’s Allentown showroom. They took that look home with matching medicine cabinets, and paired a marble-look porcelain tile with it to keep the space very bright and clean, without the maintenance of natural marble. A mosaic accent helped bring the whole look together.

In the kids’ bathroom, durability and utility were the top concerns. The homeowners chose another Italian porcelain tile for the floors with a high slip-resistance rating to keep little feet safe when stepping out of the bath. They also selected another Wellborn vanity with a dark stain.
